Jeffrey Shagawat (aka Bill Shag) was born in New Jersey and raised in New York.

After graduating with a B.F.A. in Creative Writing from Manhattan’s New School, he spent 8 years in Publishing. He was Executive Editor for Eastern Edge Magazine and Editor-In-Chief of Design for Living. In 2004, Jeffrey moved to LA to pursue photography full-time.

Using vintage cameras, non-traditional processing, and refusing to digitally enhance, he’s created a unique style all his own. His work has been displayed in galleries such as Unitard in downtown Los Angeles; Melt Down is West Hollywood, the Scott Eder Gallery in DUMBO; Produce in Phoenix; Dream Space Gallery in London, and Caf & Diskaire in Lille,France. Jeffrey currently resides in Lower Manhattan.
